Bode Adediji Partnership, Kontinental Developers to Sponsor 2026 Business Network Golf Tournament at Ilara-Mokin

🇳🇬The Smokin Hills Golf Resort in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, will host the 2026 Business Network Golf Tournament on February 21. Sponsored by Bode Adediji Partnership and Kontinental Developers Limited, the event aims to bring together businessmen, professionals, and artisans from across the globe.

According to Bode Adediji, a renowned estate surveyor and valuer, the tournament is a way to give back to the sporting community. “This is our small contribution to the growth of sports,” he said. He highlighted a link between the expansion of golf and a nation’s socio-economic progress. “In countries like Japan, China, South Korea, the United States, and Italy, golf thrives alongside development. It is not a game that flourishes in poverty or backwardness,” Adediji explained.

While some may question the connection between golf and business growth, Adediji emphasized that golf promotes leisure and recreation management, an essential aspect of professional and business development worldwide.

The choice of venue reflects this vision. The Smokin Hills Golf Resort, developed by Ondo-born High Chief Michael Adeojo, Chairman of Elizade Motors, is one of Nigeria’s newest and most scenic golf courses. Located just 20 minutes from Akure, the state capital, the 18-hole course sits in a university town and is the first golf facility in cocoa-producing Ondo State.

Adediji praised the course’s aesthetics, noting that it rivals Nigeria’s top golf resorts, including IBB International Golf & Country Club in Abuja and Le Meridien Ibom Golf Resort in Uyo. “It is a course that rewards patience and creativity, with bunkers and towering trees adding to the challenge. Yet, it remains playable even for weekend golfers,” he said.

With its proximity to Elizade University, the resort is positioned to handle major tournaments and provide a world-class golfing experience comparable to top international university courses.
